Do you have a question?  Submit to us at info@powertoplaysports.com.  We respond to respectful questions and those directed towards suggestions and helpful pointers to improve the experience for those visiting P2P Sports.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY FOR MY VOICE TO BE HEARD, AND OFFER HELP/SUGGESTIONS?

Politely.  Golden Rule applies.  Call our office, or submit an inquiry form (available at the front desk).  We respond to respect, and kindness, and how you would like to be addressed at your work or home, and how you are teaching your own children how to resolve conflict and disagreements.  Approach in a manner and with suggestions that help improve the opportunities for everyone.

CHANGE OF POLICY
In February, 2020, we altered our post-game hand shake lines to occur at the beginning of games.  In order to create a safer environment, and due to a trend of parents approaching the opposing team at the team benches during post-game, we have had to enforce this change. This is a trend that seems to be occurring regionally and nationally more than we would like to see. Safety is the single most important part of the Event Center and our programs.

SPECTATOR ADMISSION
Everyone wishes it will be free.  Of course!  We get it.  As all of us become better educated about youth club sports, spectator admission has existed for 30 years.  P2P Sports is proud to be the most affordable youth sports organization in the country for spectator admission!
 (YES, that’s true!)
No tax dollars are used to build, maintain and operate the Event Center.

OFFICIALS
It's an unappreciated profession and parents are the #1 reason officials quit supporting youth sports. We can either work together, or continue to be part of the problem. Without officials, youth sports don't exist.

All are hired and managed by Bruce Bird and Lloyd Martinez, both CHSAA board certified officials for the state of Colorado.
Officials are hired after an approved background check, and training completed.
Officials are hired based on judgment.  They are required to show up on time, enforce the state high school league decorum, and rules.
Officials are managed by P2P Sports based on their communication, respect for the game, parents, coaches, and players.

BECOME PART OF THE SOLUTION AND NOT PART OF THE PROBLEM

A great way for individuals to help improve the game, and show people how much you know about the game/officiating is to become an official!  If interested, reach out to us at info@powertoplaysports.com and we are helpful in providing the background check process, educational classes, and certification to become an official in youth and high school basketball.  A great part-time opportunity allows you to take your knowledge of the game to another level!

PARKING
450+ parking spots are available, but that is still not enough to accommodate our customer base.
If you need a ride to and from your car, we provide assistance. Call our office, 970.800.3035, or stop at the front desk.
All parking is FREE

SCORER’S TABLE OPERATIONS
As of 9/1/19, P2P Sports has made the commitment to provide scorer’s table operations services.  This is a paid service we commit to in helping ensure parents aren't ask to help provide this service.
The efforts are ongoing in obtaining the number of independent contractors to manage this huge task.
1 per court is assigned to manage the clock, and the books for teams.  No parent volunteers are required
*Disclaimer is at times, staff might be short in availability and if so, we politely ask for assistance from teams participating.

WE ARE HIRING SCORER'S TABLE OPERATIONS
If you are junior high or above, we are looking to hire scorer's table operations throughout the year.  The position is an independent contractor, and paid bi-weekly.  Email us to info@powertoplaysports.com for consideration.

HISTORY OF P2P SPORTS AND THE EVENT CENTER
30 years running events.  P2P Sports Event Center opened 2/17, privately funded and owned.
9000+ games per year are hosted on location.  In ’19, 19 state were represented with college, high school and youth teams visiting.
400,000+ people walked through the doors in ’19.  Built on 4.2 acres, the Event Center features 53,000 square feet, 6 high school regulation volleyball, basketball courts, 12 pickleball courts, and 10,000 square feet of sports lounge amenities.
Outdoor amenities currently being finalized/built include a walking path around the lake, outdoor sand volleyball courts, outdoor basketball courts, playground, beach, and boat launch.  This will be available in the spring of ’20.

We are FAMILY-DESTINATION, and when you visit P2P Sports, it’s more than just what happens on the courts.
Future expansion is currently being planned.

NO BALLS ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN BY SPECTATORS/PLAYERS/ANYONE DURING GAMES
We have implemented this rule since the opening of the Event Center in 2/17.  We mirror the expectations at high school and college games.
While coaching, the coaches deserve the respect of being able to focus on their team during time-outs, half-times, before and after games without people going on the court and shooting/dribbling.
In addition, expensive décor, pictures, etc., exist in the Event Center, and to protect these items, we prohibit.
Visitor safety is paramount, and with balls in the Event Center, people will play “catch”, “pass”, etc., and create an unsafe environment for everyone.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD IS ALLOWED IN THE EVENT CENTER
Per our contractual agreement with outside vendors in the Event Center.

GRAB-N-GO CONCESSIONS
We provide a full-service, grab-n-go food court, with a variety of food choices. From Pizza Ranch, Inta-Juice, Chick Fil-A, Dunkin with their selective menu items, and a variety of healthy choices, visitors can purchase on location.
When you price the concessions, they are comparable as any place you visit in the region.

ACCOUNTABILITY/SOMETIMES NOT ALWAYS THE BEST PLACE TO SEE EXAMPLES SET FORTH
At times, parents, who love their children more than anything have to be reminded that visiting a public place, privately owned, there are rules and expectations of class and decorum.  We work with the Windsor Police Department to provide a safe environment for everyone to attend.

VIDEO/LIVE-STREAM
All areas of the Event Center, with the exception of rest room facilities are monitored and recorded 24/7.  It provides an environment of accountability and review.  We no longer have to review “he-said/she-said”, rather, simply review with the recordings or live feed to improve the environment and address concerns.

Pay-Per-View is available for watching sporting events. While we would love to provide this service for free the cost to install, and maintain the WIFI network, camera’s, live-stream feed and hosting companies to manage doesn’t provide this luxury.

Public WIFI is always FREE

WHO WORKS AT P2P SPORTS
Many of our staff are high school students (exploring their first real job in the world), college students (paying their way through their education), high school coaches, parents in the community, teachers, and business professionals in the region.

SCHEDULING/CHANGES
In 9000+ games in 2019, P2P Sports NEVER changed a schedule based on their own needs.  100% of the schedule is determined by the teams participating, their locations, grade levels and individual events.  Changes occur when a team is unable to play, drops out, or circumstances beyond our control.
We schedule week to week in our league play, allowing teams to move up and down based on their results.

We schedule for tournament play 1 week to 10 days out from the event.

DOES POWER 2 PLAY SPORTS HOST THEIR OWN TEAMS?
No, we do not.  We provide the leagues and tournaments for teams to play, and provide an unbiased environment for teams to visit and compete.  You never compete against the "home team".

I'M LOOKING FOR A TEAM
P2P Sports provides assistance to families looking for a team for their children.  From local to regional, our knowledge of teams provides help for parents to avoid experiences less than favorable.
