Story By: Samantha Demers

The Power Trip with Pete and Duggan Power2Play’s very own founder, Michael Peterson, and chief sales and marketing officer, David Duggan, host their own radio show:

The Power Trip. The show airs weekdays from 11 a.m. to noon, on 1310KFKA. Peterson and Duggan were offered to have their own show in September 2020, and the two made it everything sports.

With the background Peterson and Duggan have with spending a lifetime focused on sports, the conversations on the show have a wide variety of angles of sports. It goes beyond just sports statistics, but rather takes a dive into what happens beyond the court or field. “We talk about the behind the scenes look at club sports, high school sports, college sports, recruiting, officiating, and parents accountability. My favorite part is getting to talk about what we love doing with my best friend. We are making a difference in perspectives from many people behind the scenes who make impactful decisions,” Duggan said.

The Power Trip airs daily, where anyone can tune in to listen to the duo share their opinions on sports. The show gears towards parents, grandparents, and any sports fan of all ages and interests.

The Power Trip is about the everyday common sports person and is focused on topics where opinions rise the most. “We’ve evolved into a fun show, and earned a large following in a short amount of time. David and I are small-town people, and use real-life experiences, failures, and humor to connect with others,” Peterson said. “Youth sports have a voice. We say the things that most want to know and are afraid of asking. Transparency, and a presentation that exemplifies fire and confidence you can only get from 40 plus years of experience in the youth sports industry.”

The Power Trip is made for people to enjoy a different perspective on sports. Tune in weekdays to listen to the very passionate and thoughtful radio show, hosted by Peterson and Duggan.
